1.Magnesium. This mineral is essential for good health, but its most powerful effect is definitely on your nerve system and muscles. Remember how your muscles get tight when you are stressed? 1. Vitamin B. Vitamin B functions in a similar way as magnesium. Be sure that you eat enough food which contains this group of vitamins, like whole grains, leafy greens, eggs, oats, fish… It is not that hard, you can take an oatmeal for breakfast and omelette for dinner, what do you think?

  1. Reducing caffeine. A lot of students drink too much coffee because they believe it will make them study better and more and stay concentrated all the time. Yes, it will keep you awake, but it will also boost your stress levels. If you like coffee a lot, be sure that you drink only one in the morning and skip it whenever you have some stressful situation. Just remember how those heart palpitations feel like. Coffee? ”No thanks, I’d rather have chamomile tea.”

  1. Managing stress in a good way. Having zero stress in life is not possible, yet you must ask yourself is something really worth stressing about. We all tend to forget how some things are actually not important at all when the stress arrives. It functions that way, once you start stressing about something, you will end up stressing about everything. So, be sure if something is really worth thinking that much about.

  1. Take up a hobby. Having a hobby is a must if you don’t want to ”lose yourself” completely in your college obligations. What are you good at? What do you like? Writing, drawing, playing an instrument or even coloring are highly recommended with people who experience a lot of daily stress. Set up your hobby time and enjoy it. Creativity will help you relax and take a break from everything.

These are some of the most forgotten tips when it comes to fighting stress. Of course, it is highly recommended to eat a balanced diet, exercise and have a good night’s sleep. Surrounding yourself with people who love you and whom you love will also help you feel better.

Try these tips for at least a few months and add some other good habits to your life day by day. Don’t worry about the motivation for a change, once you see the results, you won’t need to try so hard to change your habits anymore.

Can you even imagine what more can you achieve in your life if stress stops being a part of it? The possibilities are countless…
